How to Photograph Chrome Hearts Jewelry for Authentication
The quality of an online authentication depends on the quality of the evidence. A genuine item can be difficult to assess when engravings are blurred by glare, while a suspicious detail can disappear in a compressed marketplace screenshot. A careful photo set gives the reviewer a complete, neutral view of the item.
Use simple, even lighting
Photograph near a window in bright indirect daylight or use two diffused lights from opposite sides. Avoid direct flash, dramatic shadows and colored lighting. Place the jewelry on a plain white, gray or black surface that contrasts with the metal. Clean the phone's camera lens, but do not aggressively polish or alter the jewelry before photographing it.
Start wide, then move closer
Take a complete front and back photo before shooting details. This helps the reviewer understand orientation and prevents close-ups from becoming disconnected. Then photograph the left side, right side, top, bottom and every engraved surface. For a ring, show the full circumference. For a pendant, show the bail. For a necklace or bracelet, include every link type, connector and clasp.
Control reflections without hiding details
